A different Pietrasanta, far from postcard images. A "Blurred" story, nebulous, confused, which gives an aura of mystery to images creating, in the indeterminacy of space and time, an intimacy, a dreamlike dimension. The photographic group Iperfocale, born in Pietrasanta in 2013, driven by seven amateur photographers, presents in Sala delle Grasce - Complesso di Sant'Agostino, from Saturday 17 March to 2 April, an exhibition that talks about Pietrasanta in its relationship with art, places, its people and an intimate feeling unveiled. The authors of the shots are: Anna Signorini, Antonio Lombardini, Cinzia Tognocchi, Cristina Sergi, Daniele Picchi, Ermanno Gianneschi, Libero Musetti, Luca Romano, Luigi Rossini, Marzio Vizzoni, Michele Martinelli, Roberto Paglianti, Simone Batini, Stefania Baldacci. XXIX Exhibition Antiche Camelie della Lucchesia
If winter has already come to boredom there is a magical place, nestled between the hills of Lucca, where spring knocks at the door well in advance, accomplices the camellias. In fact, it will open on March 10th, and then continue on the following weekends until Easter Monday, the XXIX edition of the Ancient Camellias of the Lucchesia Exhibition, which takes place in the Borgo delle Camelie (the villages of S. Andrea and Pieve di Compito) in Capannori. , in the province of Lucca. The event, promoted by the Cooperative Cultural Center Compitese in concert with the city administration, is preparing to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary, which will fall in 2019, with a series of exciting new features, starting with the extension of the kermesse on Easter weekend too, ideal moment for a trip out of town.To open the doors to nature lovers will be Sant'Andrea and Pieve di Compito, better known as the "Borgo delle Camelie", a landscape jewel that rises between the hills of the Compitese where, thanks to an ideal microclimate, endless varieties of camellias emerge from every corner, to embellish gardens and monumental villas. The event will allow visitors to discover all the curiosities, the goodness and the beauties of the place: from the scientific exhibition of the camellias, with unique and rare species, up to the tea plantation, the only one in Italy. The pride of the whole event will be, as usual, the Cam ellietum Compitese, a park that stretches for almost 10 thousand square meters and which contains about a thousand cultivars of camellias, fresh from the prestigious title of "Garden of Excellence" and two new sectors, one dedicated to the autumn sasanqua camellias and one reserved for Italian Society of Camellia for experiments and acclimatization of new species. But the attractions will not only be botanical. Lovers of architecture and gastronomy will also be satisfied. As always, the protagonists of the event will be the numerous historic villas, exceptionally open to the public during the event, which will host exhibitions and tastings, halfway between Km zero and a touch of exoticism. Villa Orsi will turn into a small corner of Japan, thanks to the costume tea ceremony and seminars dedicated to the preparation of the fine drink and the care of guests. Anyone wishing to continue the journey to discover the Rising Sun will be able to admire the ancient folk art of the "Temari", thanks to an ad hoc exhibition set up in the pavilion of the Scientific Exhibition. To enrich the now solid relationship with the East, this year comes a special new entry: the Korean tea ceremony. Space also for the sale and tasting of wine and bio oil produced by the farm of Villa Orsi. At Villa Torregrossa, instead, the Chinese tea ceremony will be inaugurated. For the romantics it is a must to visit the garden of Villa Borrini, with its centuries-old camellias that form a carpet of colored petals on the ground. To make the tour even more interesting, there will also be Villa Reale. Just 15 km from the village of Camellias, the historic residence of Marlia promises great emotions: twelfth century camellias, green theaters, gardens of all shapes and architectural works of great historical and artistic importance. And if between lovers of open-air life also hides some artists, this will be able to try the Extempore of painting, dedicated to the theme The colors of the stones and the nature of the Camellia Village, or stop to observe who, armed with palette and brush, will put at the corners of the streets to portray the landscape in its explosion of colors. The Exhibition of Ancient Camellias of the Lucchesia will take place on 10/11, 17/18, 24/25/31 March and 1/2 April and will remain open from 10 am to 6 pm. Notes of Life
Almost an emotional autobiography that Bruno Madeddu presents until Sunday, April 8 at the La Seravezziana Gallery in Piazza Carducci during the fifteenth edition of Seravezza Fotografia. Images like travel notes, which fix the emotion of an encounter, a magic moment, a discovery. That reveal the deep empathy of the author for the world around him, his original vision of places, the afflato with people. The exhibition, entitled "Appunti di Vita", collects twenty-nine black and white images selected by Carlo Ciappi and Ivo Balderi among the thousands that Madeddu has made during his most recent travels. A long journey that moves from Eastern Europe - with the symbol of the exhibition, awarded by FIAF as a photo of the year 2017 -, to continue in the direction of Nepal and India, then returning to the modern civilization of European capitals and close in Sardinia which is the land of origin of the author, a native of Cagliari but raised in Sarzana. "They are images that focus on man, expressing my desire to communicate, to understand situations, to know and make myself known," explains Madeddu. "Places are not really that important. Shooting in front of the house or ten thousand kilometers away, for me, makes no difference ".The curator Carlo Ciappi has made his selection trying to bring out the originality of the style of Madeddu, able to give always a personal cut to the images, paying attention to the emotion of the moment and the way in which it can be conveyed immediately to the public. "The images tell of an authentic beauty, devoid of unnecessary frills and not useful to the intuition of the situation photographed," explains Ciappi. "Beautiful photography, therefore, better to say highly icastic, peremptorily descriptive, to the point of making Madeddu right in the list of artists capable of carrying out good photography".Bruno Madeddu started shooting very young , growing self-taught through film, polaroid and finally digital and studying the works of the great masters. In his career he has collected several honors and totaled three thousand admissions to the FIAF and FIAP competitions, with over two hundred victories and many prizes won in Italy and abroad. He has more than sixty photographic exhibitions in various Italian cities, two international collective exhibitions and two different projects in the FIAF Circuit. The exhibition "Appunti di Vita" is free admission and can be visited from Monday on Saturdays (closed on Tuesdays), open all day from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
