Gran Concerto Augurale
Back as every year the Great Concert of the Philharmonic Giacomo Puccini of Camaiore with the appointment on December 8, at 16, at the Teatro dell'Olivo. The concert is now part of the Camaiore tradition and represents the ideal beginning of the Christmas holidays. Maestro Emanuele Lovi will present the following program to the public:- Marcia Festiva (Sorbon)- Concert from Rondo Veneziano (Reverberi/Pavesi)<- p > - Sleigh Ride (Anderson) - I live for her (Van Krayeydonck)- Happy Xmas (Lennon-Yoko Hono)- Tritsch tratsch polka (Strauss)- Moment for Morricone (Morricone)- Christmas medley (Pusceddu)- March of Radetzky (Strauss)Entry is free until all available seats are available.A little historyThe concert has been held since the Seventies in proximity to the anniversary of Santa Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, which falls on 22 November. Initially executed in the square on the Sunday morning closest to the event, it was moved to an indoor place, given the vagaries of the weather at that time. The Church of the Sorrows, the Ex Vegè, the Pistelli Middle School, the Palazzetto dello Sport and finally the Teatro dell'Olivo were the scene of the concert, a stimulating scenario for the musicians due to the excellent acoustics and beauty of the jewel of Via Vittorio Emanuele .The Puccini Filarmonica celebrated the 170th year since its foundation last year. It has "passed under the bridge" since 1845 but since then, even for a period obliged during the war, our Philharmonic has never stopped making music and accompanying the most important moments of the city, sharing them together with the whole community, both in civil and religious events so dear to our people. The Philharmonic is well rooted in the territory and as a sign of attachment to the territory this year, in agreement with the Municipality, has decided to adopt the gardens of Piazza Francigena in front of the Civic Archaeological Museum. This new initiative also allows us to sponsor the School of Music which is active again and of which you will find all the information about it in the atrium of the Theater.Source: Municipality of Camaiore - Press Office

Lace Shunga Cinnamon
Susanna Orlando Gallery is pleased to present a special edition of eleven copies of Piero Pizzi Cannella inspired by Japanese erotic art. The exhibition will inaugurate on December 8, 2017 and will feature an extraordinary set-up of eleven pieces of Pizzi Cannella. The artist's interest in the Orient and Oriental aesthetics arises from his consideration of Japanese art as a mysterious and precious language at the same time and opens his mind to a sort of imagination. The master does not tell us a story, but a fairy tale, a refined collection of works that describe the figures of Eastern lovers as in a dream because they are eternal. The shunga strike because of their audacity depicted, however, with delicacy and invite the guest to enter into the heart of the work. These bold images possess a force that goes beyond the represented scene, combined with sinuous and refined lines. In this way, Japanese lovers become witness to the sensuality of painting, so eros becomes art and art becomes eros. The love also told in the most daring eroticism is raised to a sort of sacredness. This is the ideal scenario from which the shunga is born and one of the secrets of its sophistication, essential elements in the work of the Roman artist whose strong emotional charge is capable of vibrating our soul. The precious collection of engravings comes from the folder that contains them and is presented in the style of the gallery in a dedicated set for which a precious Rubelli fabric was chosen.

Presentation of the book "The Forgotten Donation"
The Villa Bertelli Foundation will host the presentation of the book "La donazione dimenticata" inside the Winter Garden. The incredible story of the Contini Bonacossi Collection "by Avv. Sandro Pazzi.Sandro Pazzi is the lawyer of the Contini Bonacossi and Papi families, heirs of the senator Count Alessandro Contini Bonacossi. He participated in the negotiations for the donation of works of art from the Contini Bonacossi Collection to the Italian State and assisted the heirs in all subsequent legal proceedings involving the Contini Bonacossi and Papi families. In 2012 Ugo Contini Bonacossi, a few days before his death, asked him to write and document the troubled story of the donation. In the first fifty years of the twentieth century the counts Alessandro and Vittoria Contini Bonacossi created a great luck, initially thanks to the trade of collectible stamps, to become then among the most important antique art dealers of the last century. A life, theirs, spent in contact with the protagonists of world collecting, perpetually traveling between old Europe and the young America of patrons and industrialists. The Contini Bonacossi allocated part of the works of art purchased to their personal collection which, as early as 1939, was considered priceless, being composed of marvelous paintings and sculptures, as well as countless and extraordinary minor art objects. The decision to donate this precious collection to the State gave rise to one of the most controversial and troubled events of Italian collecting, which is finally told in these pages by those who witnessed it. An exciting and documented story of the events and people who transformed the most important 20th century donation of works of art to the Italian State in a scandal that lasted half a century, and which still continues to arouse interest.
