Back as every year the Great Concert of the Philharmonic Giacomo Puccini of Camaiore with the appointment on December 8, at 16, at the Teatro dell'Olivo. The concert is now part of the Camaiore tradition and represents the ideal beginning of the Christmas holidays. Maestro Emanuele Lovi will present the following program to the public:

A little history

The concert has been held since the Seventies in proximity to the anniversary of Santa Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, which falls on 22 November. Initially executed in the square on the Sunday morning closest to the event, it was moved to an indoor place, given the vagaries of the weather at that time. The Church of the Sorrows, the Ex Vegè, the Pistelli Middle School, the Palazzetto dello Sport and finally the Teatro dell'Olivo were the scene of the concert, a stimulating scenario for the musicians due to the excellent acoustics and beauty of the jewel of Via Vittorio Emanuele .

The Puccini Filarmonica celebrated the 170th year since its foundation last year. It has "passed under the bridge" since 1845 but since then, even for a period obliged during the war, our Philharmonic has never stopped making music and accompanying the most important moments of the city, sharing them together with the whole community, both in civil and religious events so dear to our people. The Philharmonic is well rooted in the territory and as a sign of attachment to the territory this year, in agreement with the Municipality, has decided to adopt the gardens of Piazza Francigena in front of the Civic Archaeological Museum. This new initiative also allows us to sponsor the School of Music which is active again and of which you will find all the information about it in the atrium of the Theater.
