From 30 September to 2 October Seravezza (Lu) it hosts the eighth edition of the Trophy La Fenice , the international opera contest which this year pays tribute to Giuseppe Verdi and one of the greatest interpreters of Verdi's operas, Mario Del Monaco. The participation of some of the most interesting promises of the international opera singing. Trophy, sponsored by the Cultural La Fenice, is sponsored by the Region of Tuscany, Province of Lucca, municipalities of Seravezza, Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi and Stazzema, Medicean Foundation of Seravezza and, for the first time, the Teatro del Giglio Lucca.

the date for the public is for sunday, October 2nd at 15.30 at the Theatre of the Grand Ducal Stables Seravezza for the final evening with the ten finalists selected in the hearings of the previous two days.

the event, as is the custom, is dedicated to people who have helped make it the largest Lirica. Pertantol'edizione this year is dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi and Mario Del Monaco. As testimonial Gaia will present Verdi, the great-grandson of the great musician, and Donella Del Monaco, grandson of the content. Provided other major presences linked to Casa Verdi, a retirement home for artists that the Master liked to call "my twenty-eighth work." Attendance Verdi exceptional that will add to the festival - which this year will also see a large number of participants from all over the world - the more emotion that, for opera lovers and beautiful melodies, makes memorable every event dedicated to master of Busseto.

Coordinated by Artistic Director Stefano Maecenas, the Competition will deploy a high-profile jury consisting of: Giuseppe Acquaviva, Artistic Director of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa; Aldo Tarabella, Artistic Director of Teatro del Giglio in Lucca; Angelo Taddeo, Artistic Director of the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago; Giuseppe Marotta, Conductor; Giorgio Benati, musician, former Deputy Artistic Director of the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice and member of the Board of Directors of the Arena di Verona; Roberto Mori, Critic of the magazine Musical Opera.

Another great feature is the collaboration established between the Association La Fenice and the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca which led the latter to grant legal aid to event and to collaborate on two opera events already held in Seravezza. As part of this collaboration will be held at Giglio a masterclass for the finalists of the competition and is also evaluating the possibility of a concert of the winners.

According to the tradition of the competition, the jury, composed of all artistic realities associated with the music, so that the judgment of every participant can be as broad and really possible and thus for the most deserving we can achieve or facilitate the landing national and international theaters. For this purpose are provided very selective hearing methods.

Among the special features recognized in the competition since its establishment is that the participants are no age limits (provided that age). Another important feature is the live broadcast streaming the final night, much appreciated by the participants as from all over the world friends and family can attend the event.

This year, in addition to significant awards cash provided by the top three, there will be special prizes for the various sections of the competition (Premio Giuseppe Verdi Prize Mario del Monaco, the jury Prize, Critics Award for young musical talents) consisting of works of famous Masters d ' art of Versilia: art that rewards the art with the intention of bringing the Italian art in the world just like our great music has crossed all boundaries to reach the heart of all peoples.

<- p > Two days of intense hearings, Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, October 1, and then the final night, Sunday, October 2 from 15.30, in which the ten finalists will compete for the overall victory and the awarding of special prizes in front of the jury and the popular one formed by the audience.

Last but not least in importance, the armature that this event will have on the economic and tourist fabric of Versilia in a period of low season, with many bel canto fans for a few days staying in the area, visit the sites and finally will bring with them an indelible memory related to music, art and territory.
